We care about the privacy of your data and are committed to protecting it. This Privacy Notice (“Notice”) is here to help you understand how your personal data is processed and what happens to it when you're using https://www.thesustainablesawards.com (“Website”). In short, you may browse our Website without providing us with your personal data. However, if you want to participate in our Contest , you will need to provide some of your personal data.

We are represented by Private Entrepreneur Maslii Mariia Andriivna (ind. number: 3311515240), registered at 04080, Ukraine, Kyiv, 99/1 Frunze st., block 2, apt. 27 who is a data controller. 2. How we collect and use data? 

When you access our Website we will automatically receive certain technical data, you can provide some data yourself.

2.1. Automatically collected data.

We need this data to operate, maintain and improve our Website. Such data includes:

  • Technical data. Device data, user configuration, IP address, browser data 

2.2. Data you give us.

If you participate in our contest we will ask you for some personal data to process your submission. Such data includes: 

  • Participation data: Full name, email address, education, CV.


3. Why do we use your data? 
We process your personal data to evaluate whether your submission is fit for winning in our contest. After the 20th of December 2019, we together with jury will process all submissions. We rely on the performance of a contract as a legal basis for personal data processing when we evaluate and process your submissions.

We rely on legitimate interest as a legal ground for processing, when we use your data for analytical purposes, prevent fraud, enforce our Terms & Conditions and other processing activities which do not override your rights and freedoms. If we use consent as a legal basis for processing, you will always have a choice to opt-out from any processing activity which relies on a consent. 4. Do we use cookies?

5.1. Safety, Legal purposes, and Law enforcement. We will disclose your personal data to third parties to the extent necessary to:

  • assist in fraud prevention or investigation.

6.1.Security. We provide industry-standard physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect personal data we process and maintain. For example, data that we receive is available only to organizers of the contest. 6.2. Retention of your personal data. We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Notice. We will erase your personal data 12 months after the end of the Contest

In case you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you have a right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

 

8. Policy towards minors 

We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If you are under 18, please do not attempt to send any personal data about yourself to us. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child under age 18, we will delete that data. In the course of our operations, we may need to process your data outside of the country in which you reside. In such a case, we will use appropriate safeguards (for example, contractual data protection clauses), to ensure that your personal information will remain protected.
